About

Background Designer | Visual Development Artist | Concept Designer | Supervisor | Art Director

Cynthia began her career at Walt Disney Feature Animation, which has close ties to Disney Imagineering. WDI was the very first theme park company she worked with as a concept artist. Some of her most notable achievements include contributing to THEA award-winning projects like California Adventure's "Disney Animation" attraction and the Universal Orlando "Men in Black: Alien Attack." theme park ride.

She was recently a Visual Development Artist on the Peabody Award-winning 2d/3d animated series, "Stillwater." Her duties included designing 2d backgrounds, props, and fx--as well as creating detailed design sheets for 3d sets, props, and some costume designs, which included color and texture call-outs. She was also responsible for graphic designs which were applied directly onto 3d models by the overseas studio, Polygon of Japan.

She has worked at most of Hollywood's major studios, including Universal, Disney, and Warner Bros. Her projects include many iconic intellectual properties, like "The Simpsons," "Rick and Morty," and the original "Teen Titans" animated series. She has also had the honor of working on many classic Disney Feature Animated Films, like "The Lion King," "Pocahontas," and "Hunchback of Notre Dame."

Her overall experience in the entertainment design industry is very broad, having collaborated with professionals ranging from architects, set-draftsmen, landscape designers, interior designers, engineers, vehicle manufacturers, 3d modelers, storyboard artists, directors, writers, and more.

Her side-interests include Stage Design, Stop-Motion Animation, Shadow Puppetry, Musical Theatre, and Record Album Design. One of the highlights of her career was working on Taylor Hawkin's music video, "Louise."
